How to get less cold at home

When the winter season arrives, the coldest of the year, it is time to warm up more at home and thanks to some precautions it is possible to do so.

In fact, there are some tricks that we can take to feel warmer even when we are at home in winter and not only thanks to the heating system. For example, we can adopt some precautions on the clothing to wear, on our home (limiting heat loss), on fixtures and even on curtains.

Thanks to these tips, feeling warmer at home, in the colder seasons, will no longer be a problem.

In times when you need to save on gas and electricity, clothing at home becomes essential to keep warmer up. Wearing warm clothes helps not to raise the temperature of the heating too much and to make us feel warmer.

Drafts for windows and doors
To heat the house more it is useful to use drafts for windows and doors, in case they let air through. The drafts can be purchased or made with fabric and sand filling.

Curtains can also help you feel more warmth in your home in winter. Thanks to special internal curtains you can create a sort of barrier against the cold while for the outside you can use imperneable curtains.

Insulation panels on the walls
To feel warmer at home you can apply insulating panels to the walls. Polystyrene panels are usually used often coupled with plasterboard sheets.
