Out of shape
The weekend, as it should be, is often characterised by restaurant binges and small or large vices that we reserve for the holidays. These habits of ours can take away our energy, making us start the week out of shape.

That need to make small talk
Lack of socialisation can misdirect the day because man is a social animal: 'talk' reinforces the sense of belonging to a group and gives the energy to face the day.

Sunday -- and then immediately on Monday
Sleeping longer on Sundays is good, but the excessive difference between the time we wake up (and the hours of sleep) on Sundays and the time we wake up on Monday mornings results in a great physical imbalance, similar to jet lag. This explains why we are often groggy and in a bad mood on Mondays.

If we don't like the work
If the work we do is not to our liking we will begin to be 'less happy' (to say the least) as early as the previous Sunday evening.

Health is affected
According to scientific studies, weight and blood pressure are higher on Monday mornings than during the rest of the week, and there is an increased risk of heart attacks in predisposed individuals.
