According to a recent analysis by the American newspaper 'The Hill', the use of smart working could be linked, for example, to sleep disorders (less restful than it should be), lack of relaxation, thrombosis problems and even mental health disorders. Other problems that sedentary smart working may cause include weight gain, increased insulin resistance (with the risk of developing diabetes or cardiovascular disease). Also not to be underestimated are the problems that excessive time spent in front of a computer monitor can cause eyesight fatigue.
